Service Opportunity DescriptionThe first phase of this H.S. is complete, but we need more classrooms since the students will do a four year course and every year we will have new students. Sept 2008 we began with 15 students and will re-open for its third year with 65 students. We had four classrooms ready and the need for additional classrooms was very apparent. Western H.S. will be build in the village of Succotz on the Western Highway and is also located on the Belize District Campground. Each classroom is 30' x 30'.
Additional projects for the H.S. include soccer field, office building, agriculture institution, computer rooms, labratories, and other resources.
Nazarene schools are one of the most attended school systems in the entire country. This is a wonderful avenue of ministry for our national church.
Cost to build an office - $10,000.
Cost to tile first floor of school - $6,000 - $8,000.
Cost to build and equip kitchen - $8,000 - $10,000.
Teams have completed (4) rooms and will open for and additional 60 – 80 students. These (4) classrooms are ready to have a second story put on top. This second story should be quicker to complete, each room will cost $7,000 - $9,000 US each.
