Bethlehem Church Project Goma, DRC
Service Opportunity VisionThe fundamental objective of this project is to provide the Church with a permanent building allowing members to worship God in acceptable conditions. Once the project is completed, we are convinced that with the help of the Lord, the Church will have a greater number of members because it will have responded to the needs of the urban population, who are reluctant to attend a Church built with rough timbers. For fire safety and security, it is also good to build a permanent building with classrooms, and offices for the development of community outreach. Service Opportunity DescriptionGiven the magnitude of the cost of this project, we intend to carry it out in several phases:
Implementation and foundation phase $15,000; Wall Elevation and Roofing phase; $25,000 Finishing phase $13,000. The city of Goma being a tourist city, offers many opportunities to teams who wish to visit there. They will have the opportunity to raise awareness among young people, carry out sporting activities especially football, and carry out compassionate ministry with children in difficult situations, widows and others as needed.
For the day of discovery, we suggest visiting the camps for displaced people, the schools organized by the Church, and the lakes located in the region. Scheduled Team Trips |
