Service Opportunity VisionOur island has been devastated by the August 8th Maui Wildfires. Since that date our church 'ohana has worked diligently to support our communities in need. Through this endeavor we have seen many come to Christ through our small church on the hill. Our vision is that this relief effort might open doors to share the hope of the gospel across our island. Through the opening of "Pukalani Nazarene Compassion Village", Pukalani Church of the Nazarene has seen lives changed through Christ. Service Opportunity DescriptionTransitional Housing - our next phase in our phased approach to relief is housing. The wildfires have exemplified our housing crisis here on Maui, with more than 5,000 living units destroyed. Currently, we have completed (4) 2-bedroom cottages on our campus. We will be constructing 6-10 more on our unused acreage. This process will include construction, Evangelism, and interaction with the community. The cost of construction for each transitional home is $80,000 - $200,000, depending on size. All skill levels accepted, God has a place for you here. Teams may contact for more information. Mahalo!
